MOM provides a small number of public order policing programmes in collaboration with Allan Jones. These programmes focus on the roles and responsibilities of the differing levels of operational command. Giving a clear understanding of the need to delegate responsibility. They outline the staff and equipment required to run an effective command room. One key element is understanding how to undertake a threat and risk assessment and the participants will be asked to demonstrate this ability both as a group and as individuals. This assessment will contribute to the simulated exercise. The programmes will explain the list of policing objectives and where they sit within the decision-making model and be asked to demonstrate their knowledge of these. Psychological and legal understanding of the use of force will be viewed and the final programme focuses on the human rights act.
